About | Mō Ruahine Kindergarten Association
Te Uaratanga – Our Mission is to lead and innovate in high quality, community based, early childhood education. By working in partnership with whānau and our community, we empower and inspire young children to emerge as happy, confident and competent lifelong learners.
Why choose a Ruahine Kindergarten or Early Learning?
There is a Ruahine Kindergarten or Early Learning near you, each unique in character and values, offering different options for whānau in terms of age range and opening hours.
100% of our permanent teachers are qualified, registered and trained in first aid. We know the difference professional teachers make in the lives of tamariki and at RKA, they engage in continuous professional development and research to strengthen their practice.
RKA is for-purpose, so we invest all our income in the next generation, rather than private owners or shareholders. This means fees for 2 year old's and under are very low, and those aged 3 and over can attend for up to 20 hours at no charge.
Our environments are spacious, well resources, and fit for purpose.
We were established by our community, for our community, and generations of whānau continue to entrust their tamariki with us, because children are at the heart of all we do. We are committed to keeping tamariki safe and strong, respectful relationships with whānau.
All Ruahine services are subject to Education Review Office (ERO) reviews and all our people engage in continuous professional development, ensuring your child has the most up-to-date educational experience and the opportunity to develop life-long values of wellbeing, belonging, contribution, communication and exploration.
Relationships are at the heart of RKA, and whānau and community are welcome into our settings at any time. You will see us out in our community, come and say hello.
