Chairperson AGM Update 2024
I would like to say a big thank you to everyone over the past year, it was a super busy year, and everyone pulled together to achieve a lot in 2023.
It was encouraging to see Parents’ Association volunteers participating in lots of events and fundraising over the past year. We have tried a variety of new fundraising ideas recently and the feedback from the parents has been very positive. Our volunteer parents have helped run our Annual Easter Raffle, (which is our major fundraiser of the year), Cookie Time Cookies, Donuts, Ice blocks, Uniform sales, Christmas Hams, Sushi Lunches, and Wildflower seeds (on behalf of Gardening Club). The fundraising efforts in 2023 have supplied the school with the fabulous big picnic tables, the bench seats, two water fountains, Senior service badges, and the fabric for the beautiful cultural uniforms, and the also Matariki Evening sausage sizzle. The Parents’ Association members, along with the help of our families supplied and cooked approx. 1000 sausages for this amazing community evening and we look forward to another successful event this year. We also ran two discos, provided and prepared morning tea for the Year 6 Graduation, organised the Senior pizza day, and helped with the Community Picnics, along with lots of things around the school.
Our goals for 2024 are to find new ways to continue to grow the Parents’ Association, so we have new families joining each year as want to build a community that are actively involved in what we do for our students and be involved in how we fundraise and how we use this to benefit the school community.

Again, I would like to thank all those involved with the PA in 2023 and a big thank you to the families and staff who helped with all the fundraisers and activities over the past year. We look forward to another great year ahead.
It has also been great to see some new faces join us over the last few months and wewelcome anyone who would like to come along to one of our monthly meetings. We look forward to your support for 2024.
