Principal's Pen - Week 2 - Term 2 2024

Kelly Club - Term 1 Highlights

Kelly Club - Term 1 Highlights 2024 by Marie Bianco

We have had an outstanding first term back at Cotswold Mātāhae School, and have loved meeting lots of new children, as well as welcoming back many familiar faces from last year.

At Kelly Club, we run our programme around a different theme each week. Some favourites from Term 1 included International Sports Week, Ooey Gooey Week, and Chinese New Year Week. Here are some snapshots of what these look like in action!

April Holidays

Our April holiday programme was a busy two weeks, with over 100 children enrolled!

We run a variety of different themed days with activities suited for every child. Whether your child is interested in sports, baking, or crafts, we have opportunities for them to get stuck in!

I would also like to mention how appreciative our coaching team are with the attitudes and positivity from the last holidays, we all really enjoyed having such a great bunch of kids in attendance.

Whats on for Term 2

We have kick started Term 2 with some awesome themes, ‘Worldwide Welcome’ and ‘Marvellous Mum’s’.

This term we are looking to focus more on some larger projects, with Red Nose Day and Matariki coming up near the end of term, we will be looking at ways for our Kelly Club kids to be actively involved in learning more about Aoteatoa’s culture, as well as helping out in fundraising opportunities that are engaging and insightful. Make sure to keep an eye out for these in weeks to come!

If you have not already, and are interested in keeping up with weekly Kelly Club updates, make sure to check our facebook; https://www.facebook.com/KellyClubCotswold/
