Choirs throughout NZ work for months to hone their vocal skills and gather once a year in their regions to present a programme of pieces before a choral adjudicator in the hopes of gaining a recommendation through to the National Big Sing Finale or Cadenza.

On Friday 4 June the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze and Silver groups went on an expedition to the Pinnacles. The Pinnacles, situated in the Coromandel, takes four hours in total to hike up. The mountain is 729m high.

Year 13 Economics trip to the capital!

Bright and early on 10 May, the Year 13 Economics class began the journey to Wellington on the Northern Explorer train. Venturing off typical roading, it was a fantastic experience to see rolling hills, deep canyons, and the raw beauty that New Zealand has to offer - something we often miss when caught up in our everyday lives. The eight-hour train ride also gave us the opportunity to bond over cards and music with peers we usually wouldn’t have sat with in a classroom setting.
