We were very lucky to have Grant Trebilco from One Wave come and speak with our Middle School on Friday 2 September. He shared some really important messages with us about looking after our mental health through saltwater therapy, surfing, supporting each other, and wearing Fluro!

On Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 August, students from Awa Commons witnessed Earth Science first-hand at Hell's Gate in Rotorua.

Year 11 Drama Students will be performing A Midsummer Night's Dream by Shakespeare on Thursday 15 and Friday 16 September. Save the date!

On Friday 12 August we were very lucky to host Rototuna Junior High for our annual sports exchange.

In week 10 of Term 2, a group of Year 8 students went to the Waikato for Sports Camp!

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who supported our Food Bank Appeal - Mufti Day on Friday 19 August. We managed to fill an entire van with food!

Nine of our Pacific Island Students are involved with the AIGA program. On Thursday 25 August they attended the AIGA Fiafia cultural celebration and enjoyed food, dance and culture from Pacifica.

Applications are now open for the 2023 Adastra Scholarship Programme. These scholarships are awarded to talented young musicians, dancers and athletes from the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions.

In early August our College Basketball Teams competed in the Bay of Plenty Basketball Champs.

Year 13 student Morgan Edwards is loving learning to dive! She is lucky to be on a 10-week Dive course with Dive Zone Tauranga.

The Careers Department is excited to introduce the F.i.T programme catering to students who will be entering Levels 2 & 3 in 2023.

On Thursday 4 August Pāpāmoa College had its very first adventure racing team compete in the Hillary Outdoors 'Get2Go' challenge in Rotorua.

In Term 2 year 12 student Monika Werder began a Gateway Placement at Tropicana Gardenworld.

Our Year 12/13 Drama Students will be performing COW by Kiwi playwright, Jo Randerson on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 September. Save the dates!

Congratulations to our Year 7/8 Waterpolo Team who came fourth overall at the Bayfest Tournament held at Baywave 19-21 August. Well done all!

On Wednesday 3 August Pāpāmoa College competed in the Year 7/8 BOP Table Tennis Champs.

During the July holidays, a number of our voice students competed in the Performing Arts Competitions in Tauranga.

Friday 26 August was National Daffodil Day. Our wonderful Leo Club members spent a week fundraising for this worthy cause.

We had a wonderful LMS Assembly on Friday 8 July to celebrate our students' amazing mahi during term 2.

Congratulations to all the Netballers who did so well in the recent Waikato/Bay of Plenty Competitions, and to those who received prizes at the Representative Teams prizegiving.

At assembly on Friday 29 July, we celebrated the success of our senior students who achieved NCEA Level 1 Excellence or Merit Endorsement in 2021. (This celebration was delayed due to Covid).

During weeks 6-8 of Term Three our year 9 students will be participating in Mates and Dates, a Healthy Relationships program, as part of our school curriculum.

With the AIMS Games coming up it is a good time to talk to your children about good sportsmanship.

In August our Year 9-11 Students attended presentations by the Life Education Trust designed to encourage students to make smart choices around alcohol, money, vaping and social media.

Our LMS Student Leaders are encouraging students to get to school in a more environmentally friendly way.

Congratulations to past student Shuari Naidoo, who has won The 2022 Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) Alumni Award for Community Leader of the Year! Shuari also be accepting an award and speaking at a Zonta 'Women in Leadership' event on Monday 12 September, she invites all to attend.

Students are expected to attend school every weekday throughout the term, from 8.35am to 3.00pm (except for later starts on Wednesdays at 8.55am)

Congratulations to the Pāpāmoa College Leo Club fundraisers' who managed to raise a whopping $2,551.30 for World Vision this year!
