Awa Learning Commons Year 10 students had an amazing day out at Pilot Bay on Thursday 9 March.

On Wednesday 15 February, we held an Excellence Evening to celebrate students that received Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 NCEA Certificates Endorsed with Excellence in 2022.

This year we have welcomed 15 new staff to our kura. We are excited about the expertise and skills that they will contribute to student learning and the wider Pāpāmoa Community.

On Tuesday 21 February Pāpāmoa College held its first full-school Mana Waka Competition. Everyone had a great day, with outstanding participation and positive attitudes from all students.

This year our School Production is The Adams Family- A New Musical Comedy. Shows will run from Wednesday 26 July until Saturday 29 July. Save the dates!

Our Year 7 & 8 students had a fantastic time at Lakes Ranch Camp in Rotorua. In weeks 5-7 of Term 1 Year 8 students Ari Rod and Georgia Goninon wrote about their experience below.

We held an NCEA Information Evening at the College on Wednesday 22 February.

The Western Bay of Plenty Intermediate Mountain Biking Champs were held on Monday 13 March. It was a great day on the hill for our two competing students.

This year we will be having Full-School Assemblies approximately once a fortnight.

On Thursday 23 February, Inga Tamau from the University of Waikato, came to Pāpāmoa College to meet with Māori and Pacific Island students who are interested in studying at the University in 2024.

Futures Academy Trades programmes have started for 2023.

Each term we focus on one of four core school values; Whanautanga - Relationships, Whai Whakaaro - Respect, Whai Kaha - Participation, and Whai Mana - Excellence.

On Tuesday 7 March our Pāpāmoa College First Xl Girls Cricket team played in the Gillette Venus Cup vs Mount Maunganui College at Gordon Spratt Reserve.

On Saturday 11 March some of our wonderful Year 9 girls got to be ball girls at ANZ Premiership League game Bay of Plenty Magic v Stars here in Tauranga.
