This week saw the pared-down 2021 Senior Prizegiving held at the School Hall as a result of COVID restrictions.

In a break from tradition, due to Covid19 restrictions, Upper Hutt College held the annual Senior Prizegiving in the school hall streaming it live on YouTube.

After a disrupted year on the sports fields and courts, Upper Hutt College celebrated the many successes our students earned at the Sports Prizegiving.

On the final day of regular classes for seniors, students were awarded certificates that could not be handed out at Senior Prizegiving.

Whanau and students are invited to attend the annual UHC Senior Art Show in the school hall on Tuesday Nov 16th between 4:30 and 6:30pm. Head of Art, Rachel Clark, is extremely impressed with this year's work and tells us what we can expect.

Year 11 student Lily Candy has represented the students at UHC on the school Board of Trustees. This is a large responsibility and opportunity to understand how a school operates. Lily has done a fantastic job and we thank her for her hard work and input. Here is her message to the school community.

UHC staff were handed down a challenge from Year 13's for a game of basketball and later netball. Bragging rights were firmly on the table and it was the staff that schooled the students in the end, winning both events.

Beginning Monday 15 November, all seniors students will be involved in senior tutorials until Friday 19 November. The focus of these tutorials will be preparation for NCEA exams, which begin on Monday 22 November, and catching up on internal assessments. There will also be an Achievement Opportunity Programme running for invited students.

Year 11 Drama students performed their much anticipated rendition of Peter Pan to enthusiastic audiences.
