Three HGHS students competed at the competitions in Invercargill in the Term 2 holidays, with outstanding success and podium finishes.

On the weekend (27th August) Brooke Holah walked away with a National title in Kumite Karate.

Over the weekend of the 20th and 21st of September, 54 dancers took part in the Dance NZ Made Waikato Regional dance competition at Cambridge High School. Thirty seven of those dancers came home with prizes.

This event was held on the North Shore of Auckland across three clubs, Browns Bay, North Shore, Devonport from 4th - 7th August. There were 14 girls teams and 29 boys teams entered from across NZ.

Costumes, props and sets are all essential components of performance art and at HGHS we have recognised the value of this work through the creation of a Service group called The Wardrobe Crew.
