What a fabulous school to be a part of! The tamariki this year has lived up to our high expectations.

Earlier this week we were very lucky to have a visit from Emma's mum Signe who is a nurse practitioner at the Emergency Department at Dunedin Hospital.

A strong group of athletes competed in the Otago Athletics competition on Tuesday 15th November.

In Visual Arts the Junior Hub have been looking at the symbolism of the koru and have been busy creating koru art with many meanings.

We have had such a great year in the Room 12 and 13 Hub. The children have explored Rock Pools, had their own Mini Commonwealth games, created masks and posters of their favourite places. They have enjoyed a variety of sporting activities, with ball skills, skipping, swimming to name a few. Amazing art work is proudly displayed throughout the Hub. Mrs Bonney and I felt with all the super things we have been up to the children would like to share what they enjoyed the most. Here is a small sample of what they had to say.

Some senior students have been involved in a teeth study at the Dental School. The Senior Hub was invited to visit the Dental School on Monday for some fun activities. Here are some memories from the day.

Earlier this month we hosted a Whānau Wānaka (Family Day/Workshop) at Wakari School. This was an opportunity for our families to come together and explore some of our beautiful Māori arts - such as Oamaru stone carving and flax weaving (harakeke).

On November 11, all of the Wakari School ukulele players came together for our very own Ukulele Jam!
