By the time this is published, we will have seen the last of the major works submitted with Music being externally marked on Monday the 4th of September. This marks the first time that Year 12 students and teachers come up for air in the chaos that is Term 3.

As we arrive at the end of term 3, I would like to wish Year 12 the best for their forthcoming exams.

As they count down their final days of schooling, Year 12 students are showing their admiration for their favorite teachers by dressing up as them.

Congratulations to all the incredible Year 12 students who showcased their musical talents at the HSC music soiree last month! What a truly memorable evening it was, filled with talent, passion, and a wonderful display of hard work and dedication.

Year 8 Geography students had the opportunity to explore and learn about water in the world as they conducted fieldwork at Ewen Park. This engaging experience allowed them to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios.

As we fast approach the end of Term 3 there is so much to reflect upon.

On Thursday 31st August, the DHSVAD Senior Boys and Girls AFL teams made their way to Leichhardt Oval to participate in the Bligh AFL Gala Day against their fellow Inner West rivals Tempe High School, Marrickville High School, Leichhardt Sydney Secondary College and Blackwattle Bay Sydney Secondary College.

This amazing program helps 13 – 17 year olds live well by forming healthy eating and physical activity habits.

Term 3 has been a busy term for Year 10 students. They have been making some big decisions about their future by selecting their subjects for Year 11. It is an excellent time to be having some important conversations at home about what your child would like to pursue post-school.

On the 23 August, 120 of our Year 10 students and four PDHPE teachers made their way to Qudos Bank Arena to the BStreetSmart event - Australia's largest educational road safety event, aiming to reduce the fatality and injury rates of young people by promoting safe road use behaviour.

It was a busy lead up to the fair as the P&C worked with the teachers to pull together some ambitious ideas for the Student Art and Design Stall.
