Initially he was selected as one of 52 students to attend an Enviro-Leaders forum in Rotorua during the April holidays. He impressed there and has been selected for this voyage.

Visit this articleIt is with happiness for Christine’s future plans and sadness in having to say good-bye that we farewell Christine from her permanent position teaching Latin and Gateway at Logan Park High School. Christine came to our school as the Latin teacher in 2002, but her contribution has been much wider than this. She has also given much quality service, as the coordinator, teacher and establisher of the Gateway programme and as a long serving dedicated and very caring Toroa Group teacher.

Everyone practised, sweated and almost lost their hope, but in the end everything was great. Because the students had so much fun, the audience also had fun.

With my four host siblings I never get bored and there is still so much to discover in Dunedin. Three years because I have already experienced so much and have a relationship with my friends and my host family as if I have known them for my whole life.

Tayla won the individual junior women’s division at the Austrian Cup in Judenburg. Tayla also won the New Zealand Open Luge Cup last year. Tayla will continue training with the national team and she is aiming for selection for the Winter Olympics.
